Prym Intimates opens its state-of-the-art Product Development Centre in China

Prym Intimates, the world's leading manufacturer of customised lingerie accessories to the global lingerie market, launched its state-of-the-art, Phoenix Product Development Centre in the Zhongshan Plant in China on 27 May 2022. The Centre would develop athleisure-related products, which is the fastest-growing segment in the apparel industry, with the sports bra market, in particular, expected to record a phenomenal growth from USD 9 Bn. to USD 34.8 Bn. by 2026.  

To become a key player in the athleisure accessory market, Prym Intimates identified the need to offer a differentiated product range using cutting-edge technologies such as ultrasonic, bonding, laminating, and laser. The need to master these technologies was imperative to develop a comprehensive product range. Therefore, the Research and Development Arm of Prym Intimates took on the challenge and the outcome was the Phoenix Development Centre.
