Prym Intimates Lanka boosts sustainability credentials with GRS Certification
03 August, 2022
Prym Intimates Lanka secured the Global Recycling Standard (GRS) certification in its commitment to adopting sustainable manufacturing practices. The GRS status was obtained for our recycled hook and eye products, recycled elastics (shoulder straps), and recycled ribbon bows. The certification followed a stringent inspection and assessment from GRS officers, and confirmation from the auditors that all listed processing steps and activities correspond with the criteria set out in the GRS standard for certified products. The certification that is valid for a year, assures that responsible social, environmental, and chemical practices are used throughout the production of the above accessories.
The GRS is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. The standard confirms that we meet the needs of companies looking to verify the recycled content of their products.
Our legacy for innovation, quality, and sustainability has been further strengthened through the GRS certification. Many of the world’s renowned brands rely on our accessory solutions to create more sustainable products that consumers desire, without compromising performance. Obtaining this certification not only has enhanced the client's trust in our brand but has enabled us to strengthen customer relationships and meet their requirements. Furthermore, we assure that recycled materials and environmentally-friendly processes have been used in our manufacturing processes. Whilst advancing our quality standards further, GRS status enables us to efficiently manage traceability and contamination risks and reach a wider global market.
